While many projects present standard production challenges, others require exceptional adaptability. This project in Kyiv is a powerful example of how we operate globally by leveraging trusted local networks and precise contingency planning .

For this assignment, we supported taffi.co at their client's office, ensuring high-quality interview coverage despite the volatile environment.

The Venue: Client Office in Kyiv The filming took place at the end client’s office in Kyiv. While an office setting is typically a controlled environment, the external context of the city added significant layers of complexity to the production.

Project Objectives

  • Professional On-Site Interviews: Filming high-quality interviews with key personnel at the client's facility.
  • Audio & Visual Consistency: Ensuring clean audio and stable, professional lighting—critical factors for interviews—despite the risk of infrastructure failure.
  • Seamless Coordination: Bridging the gap between the international client (taffi.co) and the local production team.

On-Site Production Team We deployed a specialized local crew for this mission.

  • Using a fully local team was essential for safety, navigation, and logistical support.
  • This setup allowed us to remain agile and responsive to real-time changes in the city's status.

A Real On-Site Challenge and Our Solution The most critical challenge for this production was the operational environment: filming in a war zone with frequent, unpredictable electricity cuts.

In an interview setting, power stability is non-negotiable. A power cut doesn't just stop the camera; it kills the lighting and creates audio spikes, ruining the interview flow.

To solve this, we implemented a rigorous planning strategy:

  • Localized Production Support: We engaged a trusted local crew who understood the terrain, the schedule of planned outages, and safety protocols.
  • Power Redundancy for Interviews: Instead of relying on the building's grid, we utilized battery-powered LED lighting kits and cameras. This ensured that even if the building lost power mid-sentence, our interview lighting would remain consistent and the recording would continue without interruption.
  • Flexible Scheduling: We built a schedule with sufficient buffer times to accommodate potential alerts or interruptions without compromising the interview quality.

The Result

  • Successful completion of the interview shoot on January 2, 2026.
  • Secure data management and backup despite infrastructure risks.
  • A satisfied client who received professional interview content without the logistical burden of managing a crisis-zone production.
