Insights

Atinary's product launch with AWS brought 50 attendees together in Zurich for an afternoon built around one central moment, 1.5 hours of presentations, followed by a networking session over catering. Atinary wanted the sessions recorded end to end so the full presentations could be put to use later, not just a highlight reel, which meant treating the recording itself as the priority and building everything else around getting it right.

We sent our trusted local crew for the job, including Roni, someone well used to this kind of session recording. One challenge came up on-site around audio: normally, for a job like this, you tap directly into the venue's own audio mixer with an XLR cable rather than relying on lav mics, since most venues already have a PA system delivering clean sound. This time, the venue's mixer turned out to have no output to tap into at all. Rather than lose clean audio for a session Atinary specifically wanted usable afterward, Roni improvised, pointing a boom mic directly at one of the venue's speakers and lowering its volume to a level the mic could pick up cleanly, capturing the full audio successfully despite the setup not cooperating as expected.

With the presentations fully recorded, the crew shifted into B-roll once the program wrapped and the room opened up into networking, capturing the conversations and atmosphere that gave the event its second half its own character. Running both parts back to back in a single afternoon meant the coverage stayed continuous, the formal launch and the informal networking told as one complete story of the day rather than two disconnected pieces.

From there, the footage went into edit, built into a short 1-3 minute highlight video designed for quick, shareable viewing, with support for a longer cut as well for anyone who wanted the fuller picture of the launch. That combination, a tight highlight reel backed by a more complete version, gave Atinary and AWS content that worked both for a quick share and for anyone wanting the full presentation, audio and all, thanks to a bit of on-the-spot problem solving when the venue's own setup didn't go to plan.
