Planning for a fast turnaround
dsm-firmenich needed coverage across two very different moments at in-cosmetics Paris: a customer event on the Monday evening, and a full day on the booth itself on Tuesday, capturing people, product, and atmosphere across both. The real pressure wasn't the shooting, it was what came after: everything had to be shot, edited, and delivered by end of day Wednesday, because dsm-firmenich needed the content to post live during the show itself, not after it had already wrapped.
Before any of that, we worked with dsm-firmenich on concept development ahead of production, shaping how the two days and the two final videos would fit together before a single frame was shot. That groundwork made the rest of the timeline possible: with the concept and storyline already agreed, the crew could move through the actual shoot days with a clear plan rather than figuring out the story on the fly.
We ran a videographer and a photographer across both days, three hours covering the evening customer event and five hours on the in-cosmetics booth the following day, capturing around 300 photos worth of people, the stand, and the products on display, alongside video footage built against the script and storyline developed in advance. Working from that groundwork meant the edit could move fast once footage was in, since the structure of both one-minute videos was already defined before production even began.
Delivering while the show was live
From there, the turnaround was the whole game: postproducing the photo set, and cutting two finished videos complete with basic motion graphics, color grading, and royalty-free music, all delivered by end of day Wednesday so dsm-firmenich could post while the show was still live and their audience was still there. Getting a trade show shoot from concept through to fully finished, on-brand content in under 48 hours is a production timeline that leaves no room for a slow edit, and that quick turnaround, backed by real groundwork before day one, is exactly what let the content do its job in real time, during the event it was capturing.
