As Get Camera Crew, we deliver conference, event, and corporate video productions for brands all around the world. Different countries, venues, and production challenges are part of our everyday workflow. This project in Amsterdam is a strong example of how we operate globally while adapting locally.
For this assignment, we supported Piano during their two-day event with full video coverage, including conference filming, interviews, and an event highlight video.
The Venue: Beurs van Berlage
The event took place at Beurs van Berlage, one of Amsterdam’s most iconic and historic venues. While visually impressive, the venue required detailed production planning due to its size, layout, and architectural constraints.
Project Objectives
- Professional multi-camera coverage of the main conference stage
- On-site interviews with speakers and participants
- A dynamic highlight video capturing the scale and atmosphere of the event
All deliverables were planned for global use across Piano’s marketing and communication channels.
On-Site Production Team
We deployed a five-person crew on the ground:
- 1 Producer
- 1 DIT (Digital Imaging Technician)
- 3 Videographers
This setup allowed us to cover multiple areas simultaneously while maintaining full control over quality and workflow.
A Real On-Site Challenge and Our Solution
One of the key technical challenges at Beurs van Berlage was the significant distance between the main stage and the recording and control area. This made reliable signal transmission and secure recording difficult with standard equipment.
To solve this, we:
- Rented additional professional video and signal transmission equipment locally
- Tested all signal paths inside the venue before the event started
- Had our DIT continuously monitor recordings and data integrity
This ensured a stable capture throughout the conference and provided clean, secure material for post-production.
Creating an Interview Room Inside the Venue
There was no dedicated interview space available within the event setup. Instead, we converted an unused room inside the venue into a fully functional interview studio.
In this space, we:
- Built a controlled lighting setup using portable fixtures
- Adjusted audio to minimize echo and ambient noise
- Framed shots to align with Piano’s brand identity
This solution allowed us to capture calm, high-quality interviews, completely separated from the busy event environment.
Two Days, One Story
Across two full production days, all content was planned as part of a single, cohesive narrative. We stayed flexible with schedule changes and worked closely with the Piano team throughout the event. As a result, stage content, interviews, and atmospheric shots blended seamlessly into one consistent story.
The Result
- High-quality multi-camera conference recordings
- Clean, brand-aligned interview videos suitable for global use
- A powerful event highlight video reflecting the energy and scale of the event
This Amsterdam project demonstrates that Get Camera Crew is not just a production vendor, but a global video solutions partner that identifies challenges on-site and delivers practical, effective solutions anywhere in the world.
