Frankfurt for Corporate Video: Germany's Financial Center
Frankfurt is the financial capital of Germany and the headquarters of the European Central Bank. The skyline is built around the towers of Deutsche Bank, Commerzbank, DZ Bank, KfW, and DekaBank. For corporate video work in finance, professional services, and EU policy reporting, Frankfurt sits second only to London on the European map.
Where Corporate Shoots Happen
The Bankenviertel (banking district) holds the major financial tower complexes and is the natural location for finance industry shoots. Westend is a quieter business district with consulting, law firm, and asset management offices. Messe Frankfurt in the western part of the city is one of the largest exhibition grounds in the world and hosts the Frankfurt Book Fair, Automechanika, Ambiente, Light + Building, and many other major B2B trade fairs.
Executive Travel
Frankfurt Airport (FRA) is one of Europe's three busiest hubs, with direct flights to almost every major business city worldwide. The train ride from the airport to the central station takes 12 minutes. For executives flying in for a morning interview and out the same day, Frankfurt is one of the most logistically efficient European cities.
Language
German is the local language. English is the everyday working language at the European Central Bank, in international banks, and at the major hotels. For interviews with C-level talent at international firms, English works without friction. For coordination with venue staff and local vendors at smaller firms, German is useful but not always required.
Production Infrastructure
Frankfurt has a substantial production crew base built around its broadcasting and finance media industries. Hessischer Rundfunk, one of Germany's regional public broadcasters, is headquartered here, which keeps a deep pool of camera, sound, and post-production talent active in the city. Equipment rental, lighting, and studio space are all available at international standard.
Event Density
Frankfurt's event calendar is heaviest during the major trade fairs at Messe Frankfurt. Crew and hotel availability tighten significantly during those weeks. For non-event corporate work, the city is easy to book with shorter lead times most of the year.

Operational reference for projects in central Germany.
Time Zone
Frankfurt is on Central European Time (CET, UTC+1) and Central European Summer Time (CEST, UTC+2) on the standard EU schedule. For US East Coast clients, the practical overlap runs from late afternoon Frankfurt time. For Asian clients, the overlap is morning Frankfurt time.
Language
German is the official language. English is the standard working language for international finance, at the ECB, at the airport, and at major hotels. Crew briefings can run in English. For local vendor coordination outside the international corporate environment, German support is useful.
Currency and Invoicing
Germany uses the Euro (EUR). SEPA bank transfer is the standard B2B payment method. Invoicing follows German VAT rules: VAT is added for German-registered clients and reverse-charged for EU and international B2B clients with valid VAT identifiers.
Electrical and Venue Power
Mains is 230V at 50Hz. Outlets are Type C and Type F. Conference centers and corporate buildings have reliable broadcast-grade power. For high-stakes live streams at trade fairs with heavy venue WiFi traffic, we request wired ethernet drops for the broadcast feed.
Frame Rate
Germany is a 50Hz region. Default frame rates are 25fps or 50fps. For US delivery in 29.97fps or 23.976fps, crews confirm settings each day.
Airport and Talent Logistics
Frankfurt Airport (FRA) connects directly to the city center by S-Bahn (12 minutes), regional train, or car (20 minutes). The airport hosts one of the largest cargo hubs in Europe, which simplifies international equipment shipping when needed.
Permits and Venue Access
Corporate shoots inside venues, offices, and hotels do not require a city permit. Exterior shoots in the financial district are generally tolerated for handheld work but tripod-based setups near specific bank buildings can attract security attention. For exteriors at Messe Frankfurt grounds or in front of branded buildings, venue or building owner permission is needed.
