From late November through January, Oulu has very limited daylight (about 4 hours in deep winter, with the sun barely rising above the horizon). Outdoor productions require careful scheduling. Conversely, midsummer (June) has nearly 24-hour daylight including the midnight sun phenomenon during the polar day period.
